Let yourself be seduced by Tenerife

We would like to offer some suggestions that we think will help you make the most of your stay in Tenerife. Here are a few to get you started.

Discover Tenerife’s greatest icon. A visit to this volcano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will take at least a day. It is the highest peak in Spain, with an altitude of 3718 metres above sea level and 7500 metres above the ocean floor.
Each of the numerous routes around the mountain offer a unique view of Mount Teide. We recommend two: Altos de Guajara and Montaña de las Arenas. There are also organised excursions to visit the Las Cañadas area. Another must-see is the ‘Roques García’ area opposite the Parador Nacional.
With prior permission, thrill-seekers may also visit the volcano’s crater. This hike takes a day, although there is also the option of spending the night in the refuge and watching the sunrise from the summit.

Tenerife Carnival is one of the biggest celebrations on the island. Murgas (popular musical theatre) competitions begin around the end of January, while the street parties get underway towards the end of February, culminating in the Gran Coso parade through the streets of Santa Cruz and the Burial of the Sardine.

Siam Park has the reputation of being the best water park in the world. This Thai-inspired theme park boasts the world’s largest artificial wave, at 4 metres high. An alternative to Siam Park is Aqualand, where you can plunge into the water from 300-metre-long, 14-metre-high slides that include changes in speed as you descend. Las Águilas Jungle Park is a botanical garden and zoo that is surrounded by nature and is home to more than 600 animals in their natural habitat. The 75,000 square metres of waterfalls, lagoons and caves are designed to leave visitors breathless. Another option is a visit to Loro Parque, which has recently opened its Animal Embassy: 22,000 square metres dedicated to raising awareness about protection of the environment.

Anaga Rural Park

The Anaga Rural Park is located in a mountainous area in the northeast of the island of Tenerife. It takes about an hour and a half to get there from our hotel, but the experience is well worth it for the wonderful landscapes and laurel forests. The area covers more than 14 hectares and includes a network of roads and trails that are accessible by car, bus, or on foot. Choose from a variety of routes and enjoy a truly unforgettable excursion.

Teno Rural Park and Masca

The Teno Rural Park is located in the north-western corner of the island of Tenerife, about 30 minutes from Masca, the most emblematic village in the area. Visitors here can enjoy beautiful landscapes and great biological diversity in an area covering more than 8000 hectares.

Attendance at this festival is nothing short of a privilege, and the opportunity to witness dozens of riders riding their horses into the sea, demonstrating their skills, and paying homage to their saint is really quite a sight to behold. Traditionally the saint is accompanied to the seaside in a procession that involves thousands of people and animals. This festival is held on the 20th of January every year in San Sebastián, La Caleta (Costa Adeje), just a few minutes from our hotels.
